Nana told me that when i had probably 9 years... That was awhile ago, and

it is still in my head tell this day.. so im assuming its meant to be
there. And i have had to use that while here in Bergamo for the past 6
months... and the lesson here that Heavenly Father is showing me is that if
i just would have a little patience, He would show me the miracles! And its
so true! He really does have His own timing. We dont have 20 progressing
investigators, and people being baptized every day, but we do have progress
being made!!. We found an xinvestigator in our area book when i first
showed up here.. finally after months of trying with her, we stopped. We
then met this man whom we thought was her husband..( it turns out he isnt,)
but it put her back in our minds.. So we called her up, and she answered!
Her name is Joy, and she is sooo ELECT! No joke. She has already been
taught, her real husband is a member, and she has three beautiful kids. So
we invited her to baptism yesterday.. and she did not even hesitate to say
yes. She said 'i'm ready, how can i do it.' Tool cool friends, too cool. We
have another woman who we met 2 months ago and finally she started to meet
with us. She came to family night Saturday, and church Sunday, and we have
a lesson with her, the bishop, and his wife tomorrow! MIRACLE STAMP! I just
am so happy.. and i love that this joy is so real. It comes from these
people changing their lives.. everything that they do to accept the
restored gospel will bless them sooo much. And they feel it.. thats why
they are keeping commitments and moving forward with us. This past week i
have been able to see we are representatives of Jesus Christ... i have been
able to say that and feel the power in it.. It is humbeling to know He
trusts me enough to allow me to help bring His children their salvation.

So we just so happened to come home a little early the other night, and
this rain storm just decided to start up...All of a sudden before we know
it, the house is flooding.. i'm thinking what in the heck, we live on the
third floor, until i realize that its raining sideways. So we literally
threw everything, towls, sheets, pillows, against the door that water was
coming through, which just so happens to be in one of the only rooms with
wood floor.. eventually it stopped and 10 towels and 5 sheets later the
water had stopped coming in.. So there is this thing that happens when it
gets humid, bugs start coming, and im not just talking about normal bugs,,,
like bugs that move faster than i have ever seen any bug move, and bigger
than any bug has the right to be.. So i was heading to the bathroom to get
ready for bed, and this giant black thing darts past my feet. I jump onto
the washer, and for two seconds, i think its a mouse.. Then i realize,
nope, its a different creature.. I yell for Destribois and she comes in
with a shoe. We soon find out that this is her biggest phobia, and i sure
as heck wasnt going to kill it, so we started to pray, AND SHE KILLED IT.
Praise the good Lord.. So this thing has like 500 plus legs, and if it gets
on you, it basically poisons your skin or so Destribois says.. Most
disgusting thing of my life, and i will take spiders any day and that is
saying something.. Spiders dont come out of my drains when it rains.. So
more important news, Stella finally came to church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and
shes listening to the BOM every night! I found her two companions ago, and
her bap date is for the 6th of Settembre.. Moms birthday, so it ought to be
a good day.. The day of life for my mom, and the day of new life for her!!
Vediamo, ma non posso spiegare.. SO STOKED. I havent had a really
progressing investigator since i came her, and finally i see that light,
and Heavenly Father is like, yes Sorella Woods.. You are my called servant
and can help people to baptism. Well thank you Heavenly Father. It brings
so much joy to me! I love these people more and more every day. We have
another woman that we found over a month ago and she finally is meeting
with us for reals after us praying with her at least once a week. She wants
to be baptized but has a problem smoking, and thats why she couldnt get
bapitzed when she first took the lessons. She is so prepared, and she is
another testimony that we are in the right place at the right time. We
cannot give up on these people.. We try try and try again, because one day
they will accept and know that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ on the
earth today. I am so lucky to be here doing this work.

Transfers!!!!

I hate transfer days... everytime the cell phone goes off i have a miny heart attack as i dive for the phone. So im starting transfer 8 of 12, and where is the Lord sending me??? Nowhere.. He is keeping this basket of fun in Bergamo.. 5 transfers in Bergamo.. That's seven months.. a very long time, but im happy.. Yes, i would love to go elsewhere, but its not my choice and obviously i am here for something that i cannot see yet. I was talking about how long i would be here, and then my smart allic (how is that spelled) district leader said you will be here a very short time compared to how long you have been here. Live it up, and work.. I actually really apprecicated that. Its hard to be in the same place for so long and see no progression, but that flipped my whiney complaints on me.. I only have the next six weeks to accomplish all that the Lord wants me to do, and then im done.. And i cannot go back! So with my companion being a little broken we have been working slow.. but we have gotten bikes so she doesnt have to walk and we will be on the roll.. Literally.. .hahah, yeah, im not funny... I cant tell jokes in english, let along Italian.. Their sense of humor is a little different i think.. accept Sunday.. We were at the farewell of a member heading to New York for his mission and Fratello Illanes (loooveee him and his family.. they are from Bolivia) said that the reason i am still here is because i must have just fallen off the big wall that President looks at with all of us on it during transfers... So i cant go anywhere, because im not there... i just stared at him, and everyone else got a big kick out of it.. Ah man, i just love these people and im ready to just kill it here for my last six weeks in Bergamo.. FIND, TEACH, BAPTIZE!!! YEAH! :D

Thunderstorms come here when you least expect them, and then you run home
in the rain and you come home looking like a drowned cat.. Its real nice.
Transfers are already here my friends... Saturday we get the call, so we
will see what president decides to do with me... But either way, i have
excepted that its the will of the Lord.. If i stay, its because there is
someone else i need to meet, and there is something else i need to learn..
and if i go, ill think job well done in Bergamo kid... you are on to your
next adventure.. but we will see. Its been a good week though! We got
another baptism date set, and i pray more than anything that she will open
her eyes and realize she is feeling the Spirit. Heavenly Father has told
her the Book of Mormon is true.. We all felt the Spirit.. we all know. She
just needs to stop doubting and jump! Take the dang leap of faith, because
at the end Heavenly Father is the one waiting.. He always waits on us.. If
its good, we know it. We feel it inside.. and all good things can only come
from God. Pray for her!!!! She needs the prayers!!! These people just need
to open their eyes. I am so happy to talk to everyone, to share why i have
a testimony of Jesus Christ, and why i know the Book of Mormon is true. The
church of Jesus Christ is the only church where we can recieve every
blessing promised! It really is the key to our religion.. If people would
just read, and pray, they too would feel the Spirit, and know its true. It
is a book that will change the world. Every nation, kindered, and tounge
will hear the Book of Mormon, and it will change them forever!
